WELL, BOSU TO YOU, TOO!
What is a BOSU Balance Trainer, you ask?

We’ve had BOSUs in the weight room for a while now and will be launching Group Exercise classes utilizing the BOSU beginning March 1. The name is an acronym which stands for, "Both Sides Up," in reference to the many ways a BOSU ball can be used. This device consists of an inflated blue rubber hemisphere attached to a rigid platform and is particularly well-suited for balance training. When the dome side faces up, the BOSU ball provides an unstable surface while the device remains stable. This unique combination of stable/unstable allows a wide range of users, from the young, elderly, or injured to the elite level athlete, to find their appropriate level of challenge with minimal risk. With the dome side up, the device can be used in a dynamic manner for athletic drills and aerobic activities as well as upper and lower body strength exercises. As the name suggests, the device can be flipped over so that the platform faces up. In this position, the BOSU is unstable, but is perfect for performing specific exercises to promote shoulder stability: i.e. push-ups.

Look for some of our current classes to change to BOSU class formats, adding more as popularity increases. Add a little “instability” to your workout routine to keep things interesting!

Try one of the following Bosu Classes:
Bosu Core (all core and balance work)
Bosu Circuit (intervals of strength and cardio)
Bosu Complete (total body strength)
Bosu Lower Body (lower body strength)
Bosu Upper Body (upper body strength)
