 LITTLE HOOPSTERS Little Hoopsters is your child’s first progression in the Basketball Program at GATC and he/she will receive an introduction to the basic concepts of basketball.
• BALL HANDLING & DRIBBLING: ball control and dribbling drills • SHOOTING: form, footwork, follow-through • PASSING: bounce pass and chest pass • DEFENSE: basic defensive stances and movements • REBOUNDING: blocking out (running after loose balls) • TEAMWORK: dribbling, passing and shooting with a partner • GAMES: fun relay races with dribbling, passing and shooting

 LITTLE SHOOTERS Little Shooters is your child’s next progression in the Basketball Program at GATC where the basic concepts of actual game play begin. During each session your Little Shooter will receive instruction on the following:
• COURT AWARENESS: learning the lines on the court • RULES: violations such as fouls, traveling, double-dribbling • SKILL DEVELOPMENT: dribble, pass, screen, shoot and defend correctly • GAME TRANSITIONS: keeping up with the pace of the game from offense and defense • MOVEMENT: v-cuts, basket cuts, curl cuts, fade cuts, backdoor cuts

 MVP’S MVP'S is your child’s opportunity to grow as a basketball player no matter their current skill level. MVP lets each player develop their strengths and work on their weaknesses. Each session is formatted for the players to receive instruction on the following:
• INDIVIDUAL OFFENSIVE SKILLS: ballhandling, shooting and moves to score • AGILITY & CONDITIONING: jump rope, sprints and footwork • INDIVIDUAL DEFENSE: defensive tactics, basic to advanced • TEAM DRILLS: game situations involving two, three, four or five players per team

 BIRTHDAY PARTIES • Ages 5 and up • One and one half hour includes - pizza, cake and juice • Contests • Official game is played with official referees and scorekeeper
 CAMPS & CLINICS Have a ball with the seasonal camps and clinics taking place in fall, winter, spring and summer. With the most unique and exciting camp format in the state, your player is sure to have fun and improve during each session.
SCHOOL BREAK BASKETBALL CAMPS Ages: 6-13 years This clinic will provide your child emphasis on fast paced drills, position specific instruction, offensive/defensive footwork, shooting, rebounding and much more! Camps include lunch, snacks, swimming, goodie bags and prizes. We provide an after camp from 3:00-6:00pm for $20/day. TIM HAMMOND'S 3 ON 3 SATURDAY LEAGUE Players may sign up as a group of 3 or 4 or individually. SHOOTING AND BALL HANDLING CAMPS Ages: 7-13 years This camp focuses on ball control and shooting techniques. Coach Tim will work on form and footwork, ball handling skills, shooting off the dribble or pass and give a breakdown of shooting technique. TIM HAMMOND, GATC BASKETBALL COACH Tim has 25 years coaching experience with various teams and age groups and has spent 18 years coaching both girl and boy youth, high school and college camps. Tim has coached varsity high school basketball at Arapahoe, Chaparral, Mullen and Lincoln, and was the assistant coach for the Colorado School of Mines basketball team. He is currently a science teacher at Arapahoe High School and the director of Gold Crown Foundation Basketball Coaching Academy. This summer Tim will be instructing camps in Italy and around the United States. He will coach and instruct the Tuesday basketball programs as well as seasonal camps at Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club.
