MASTERS SWIM TEAM
The Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club Masters Swim Team allows adult swimmers of all levels and abilities to achieve their goals through a structured training environment. Whether you swim for fitness, to train for triathlons or to compete in meets, these organized, coached workouts will be right for you. Workouts are structured to meet the needs of various levels of swimming skill and include distance/endurance, sprints, technique, speed, and all four competitive strokes. The coaches will provide adjustments for individual needs based on their ability. We maintain a friendly, supportive and fun atmosphere and welcome swimmers of diverse backgrounds and goals.

• Arrive on time to get the full benefit of swimming with the team
• All workouts in outdoor 25 meter pool
• Participation in Masters swim meets is not required
• Practices are developed, explained and modified as needed by the coach on deck
• Ages 18 and up

Session Dates: on-going

Days and Times: (swimmers may attend any or all of the 5 available practices each week)
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 5:30-6:45am
Tuesdays, Thursdays 11:00am-12:00pm

Cost: $200 annually or $20 monthly, Members only

COACHES:


Nick Levine – Masters Coach
GATC Team Member since August 2008
Nick swam the English Channel in August 2007, is currently training for his second attempt, and is the Head Age Group Coach of the Greenwood Tiger Sharks. Nick coaches Wednesday mornings and Tuesdays at 11:00am



Michael Mann - Masters Coach
GATC Team Member since August 2009
Michael has 40 years experience in competitive swimming as well as holding eleven FINA world masters swimming records, eight National records, multiple Masters national and FINA world titles, and was named the USMS Swimmer of the Year in 2009. Mike has coached at all levels and is on-deck Monday and Friday 5:30-6:45am.
 

Dennis Mellon - Masters Coach
GATC Team Member
Dennis has completed 7 Ironman distance triathlons. He is also a personal trainer and teaches several group exercise classes. Dennis is on-deck Thursdays at 11:00am
