Young Professional, ages 28 through 32
Adult, ages 33 and over

Couple Membership:
Married couple or one parent and one child or legal dependent, 18 years of age or younger.

Family Membership:
Married couple with dependent children, or one parent and two or more children or legal dependents 18 years of age or younger. If marital status changes (i.e. divorce), members are required to notify the club within 30 days and the membership dues will be adjusted accordingly.

Legal, written documentation is required for guardianship in order to sponsor a dependent 18 or under on a family membership.

Nanny Membership:
A nanny may be added to a membership that includes a child 14 years or younger. Member must fill out and submit a guardianship form.

Corporate Membership:
Specific information on our Corporate Membership option is available from a club Membership Representative (exclusive of Indoor Tennis Memberships).

College Add-On Membership:
Young adults, ages 19-24, who are returning to reside with their parents during school breaks may use the facility for a special rate for each 30-day period. These college students will be asked to show proof of current college registration and a valid I.D. The parent(s) membership must be active at the time of enrollment. If a college membership is purchased, there will be no refunds in the event that the membership is not fully used.

If not enrolled in college, each dependent on a family membership who reaches the age of 19 will be required to purchase an Associate Membership. Joining fees in such cases will be waived if there is no lapse of time between the Family Membership and Associate Membership.

YOUTH POLICY
Children under 14 years of age are required to be accompanied by a parent (or adult member 18 years or over) at all times, as detailed in our Youth Policy document.

Young adults 14-17 may utilize the club without adult supervision only if they have participated in our Youth Certification. This assures their knowledge, safety, and well being in using certain areas of the club. A parent consent form and a birth certificate are needed for a dependent child to complete a Youth Certification, which consists of a physical and written assessment.

Refer to Youth Policy Page for complete policies.

MEMBERSHIP PAYMENT TERMS
All joining fees, monthly membership dues, and club charges may be subject to change. Members will be appropriately notified of such changes, as determined by management.

Prepayment Discount:

If a member wishes to prepay his/her membership for one year in advance, the dues will be discounted by 10% (excludes Associate, Young Professional, Junior Tennis and Junior Pair Memberships). This prepayment arrangement is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Membership dues and charges must be paid monthly to maintain an active membership. Partial payment of the initiation fee and any outstanding balances will be required to rejoin if the membership cancels due to non-payment. If there is no balance owed and an individual would like to rejoin, then only partial repayment of the
initiation fee will be required.

The obligation to pay dues is not dependent upon the availability of all the club’s designated facilities. Tournaments, repair, maintenance of some facilities, and/or other occurrences may make it necessary for the club to restrict use of one or more of the facilities or to temporarily close the club. Dues will not be reduced or suspended during these occurrences.

Charges left outstanding 30 days after billing are subject to a service charge. Cancellation or closure of a credit card or bank account used for billing purposes in no way relieves the member of his or her responsibility for payment. Any member who is still delinquent on his or her obligation to the club for more than 30 days may be suspended from use of the club facilities, terminated from membership, and reported to a collection agency.

Members are responsible for giving written notice to the club of any change of address, billing information, or membership types by the 30th of the preceding month in order to reflect the change in the following billing cycle.

Management reserves the right to terminate a membership without prior suspension of privileges if sufficient cause is determined.

If the membership is terminated due to a violation of the Policies and Rules, the member shall be legally obligated to pay any unpaid balance due the Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club. The club shall retain all fees, dues, and sums previously paid by the member to GATC with no right of the member to obtain any refund.

Medical Freeze:

A member may apply for a leave of absence of up to six months for medical reasons only. Verification in writing from the member’s administering physician is required.

During medical leave, collection of dues is placed on hold and the member may not utilize the facility. If at the end of the six months, the member is still unable to utilize the club, a second sixth month period may be granted. The member must reapply in writing by the last day of the month preceding the end of the medical leave with additional notification in writing by a physician or dues will be reinstated automatically at the regular rate at the beginning of the next month. If at the end of the two sixth month periods the member is still unable to use the facility, the member will be contacted to make arrangements regarding payment and continued membership status or membership cancellation. We will not offer a refund or credit of dues for past months that were not used.

Resignation of Membership:
Should a member need to resign a membership, the membership account balance must be brought to zero, and the member must submit in writing a letter of resignation with one full calendar month’s notice (i.e. if the member’s resignation is to become effective on September 30, GATC must receive the written resignation on or before August 31). Resignations will not be accepted over the phone.

Alumni Members:
If I wish to return to Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club, I will be required to pay half of the current initiation fee (on rates over $350) or back dues, whichever is less. The full initiation fee is required to rejoin as an Associate member. Returning Tennis Members receive 25% off the initiation fee when they rejoin.

GUEST FEES AND PROCEDURES
Guest is defined as a single day user.

In an attempt to provide security and convenience to members, the following guest policies have been established.

Guest fees are not intended to be a substitute for membership. Guests may use the Athletic Club up to three times in a one-month period.

Non-members may purchase guest passes at the front desk. Please refer to the current pricing sheet for appropriate guest fees. No other discounts will apply. Guest passes are valid through the expiration date only.

Guests must be accompanied by the hosting member and/or have an authorized, prepaid guest pass in their possession.

All guests entering the building must check-in at the front desk and complete all registration procedures, including signing in and presenting a photo I.D., prior to entering the club.

Free Guest day for members is scheduled on the 3rd Friday of each month. Occasionally free guest days will be scheduled on a different date due to the scheduling of special events; changes will be posted at the desk.

One guest per adult member (18 or over) is allowed on Free Guest Day. Free Guest Day counts toward the three visit per month limit. Guest must be accompanied by a member. Free Guest Day does not include XRKade®.

An adult member or guest must accompany all guests 17 years old or younger at all times. Guest passes may not be used as a substitute for guest or non-member fees associated with a training session or program.

Guests must abide by all the Policies and Rules of the Athletic Club.

Management reserves the right to refuse guest privileges to anyone who violates these Policies and Rules.

MEMBER CHECK-IN PROCEDURES
All members will be required to present their membership card/I.D. upon entering the club.

Unauthorized use of a membership card/I.D. by a person other than the Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club member to whom the card is issued will result in termination of membership. Please report all lost membership cards immediately to the business office. Replacement of a lost, stolen, or destroyed membership card may require a fee.

Violation of any of the Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club Policies and Rules by a member or persons in his/her family shall subject the member to termination of membership or suspension of membership privileges for a period to be determined by the GATC management. During any period of suspension, the obligation for dues shall continue to maintain an active status with no lapse of membership.

Any member who willfully or neglectfully causes damage to club property shall pay for such damage to club property. Members are responsible for damage incurred by dependent children and guests.

A membership may be subject to termination at the sole discretion of the club management if any amount due from a member remains unpaid for 30 days after it has been billed, or if membership privileges for a member have been suspended on previous occasion and if thereafter a second cause for suspension occurs.
