I am very excited about the newest venture at Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club schedule to open June 15, 2009... XRKade®!
The 2,100 square foot XRKade® is no more a gym or an arcade than Disneyland is a roller coaster park, it is a cutting edge environment and experience complete with the most advanced exercise and active gaming systems.
XRKade® equipment includes XR-Boards, Treadwall, Xavix, Cateye Gamebike Dueler System, 3 Kick Corner Kick, Expresso Bikes, Dance Dance Revolution and more! Participants of all ages can engage in unique physical challenges while getting the added benefit of moving and being physically active.
Our philosophy at GATC has always been to provide programs and services that get people to move. With over 7,500 members of different ages and fitness levels, it's important that we continue to evolve as the fitness industry changes and create more exciting ways for people to exercise and enjoy it. Parents can be assured their children are having fun while exercising in a safe and supervised place. Adults can feel like kids again and add some enjoyment to their workout. XRKade® is a place for everyone to have fun using their brains and bodies.
Please join us at an open house on either Saturday, June 13 or Sunday, June 14, 1:00-3:00pm and learn more about how you and your family can have fun while getting fit!

Congratulations Jason Mondragon, chosen by his peers as Team Member Of The Month for May 2009. Jason is a Colorado native from Boulder. He began his GATC employment in January 2009 in the Kids’ Club, but is now looking forward to the opening of XRKade® where he can coach children to have fun and exercise their mind and body. Jason attends Metro State College, studying to become a physical education teacher. Jason’s girlfriend is Ashley Redden, a GATC Member Services Manager-On-Duty, and his “baby” is a Husky dog named Kya. When not at GATC, he enjoys coaching and playing basketball, as well as many outdoor sports and activities, such as camping and hiking. Jason recognizes GATC member, Penni Springer, for her positive and friendly attitude towards everyone around her. TEAM MEMBER OF THE MONTH - APRIL 2009
Congratulations Michael Jones, chosen by his peers as Team Member Of The Month for April 2009. Michael was born in Colorado Springs and has lived in Colorado all his life.
