Summer is here and Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club is ready to provide you with poolside rest and relaxation! The adult pool, splash pool and lap pool are open and the water is cool and refreshing. We will be kicking off the summer Memorial Day weekend with lifeguards on duty, burgers on the Cabana grill and two new pool floats. Please be sure and check the outdoor lap pool schedule for lap swimming, open swimming and pool float hours of operation. Come early, take your favorite group exercise class, workout with a trainer and reward yourself with a day by the pool! I look forward to seeing you on deck this summer! GREENWOOD TEAM MEMBERS TEAM MEMBER OF THE MONTH JUNE 2010 Sara Wilson - Business Team / Member Accounts Congratulations Sara Wilson, chosen by her peers as Team Member Of The Month for June 2010. Sara was born in Ulysses, Kansas and grew up in Elkhart, KS. She moved to Colorado 5 years ago and began her GATC employment in January 2007. She is a Member Accounts Representative on the Business Team, assisting members with status changes and billing questions. Sara lives with her sister Glenda, who has also been a GATC Team Member as a swim lesson instructor. When not at the club, Sara enjoys spending time with family and friends, sports activities and really enjoys going to Rockies baseball games. TEAM MEMBER OF THE YEAR ATHLETIC CLUB - 2010 Michael Jones - Maintenance Congratulations Michael Jones, chosen by his peers as the Athletic Club Team Member Of The Year for 2010. Michael was born in Colorado Springs and has lived in Colorado all his life.  He began his employment with GATC on the Member Services Team from August 2002 through December 2005. After a short time away, he began helping the I.T. contractor around the club, then joined the GATC Maintenance Team in March of 2007. Michael attends the University of Colorado at Denver and enjoys fly fishing, creating music and he aspires to become a yoga instructor. TEAM MEMBER OF THE YEAR TENNIS CLUB - 2010 Ryan Haith - Head Tennis Pro Congratulations Ryan Haith, chosen by his peers as the Tennis Club Team Member Of The Year for 2010. Ryan was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He played college tennis at the Univeristy of Nebraska, where he won a Big XII Tennis Championship. In 2001, he began teaching tennis at Greenwood Tennis Club and was promoted to Head Tennis Pro in 2005. Ryan married Bridget in 2008 and now they have a baby daughter Reagan, born September 2009. When not spending time with his family or working or playing on the tennis court, he enjoys golf and basketball.  Ryan and Greenwood Tennis Club have teamed up with Broken Road, a foundation supporting tennis players that otherwise could not participate in tennis programs.
